Film review: The Four Feathers (2002)

This film is so subtle and quite moving; but in the end it is missing something. It follows the story of four British soldiers and their campaign in Sudan.

Performances by Heath Ledger and Wes Bentley are inspired but it is the performances from Brits Kris Marshall, Rupert Penry-Jones and Michael Sheen that are worth mention.

Why then did this film, with such brilliant actors (and acting), a good storyline and lovely cinematography fail to deliver? Too little depth according to one reviewer at imdb, too far fetched according to another.
