Books: 2009 was record breaking

1075190168_b446617243 I am an incredibly slow reader so I’m pretty proud of myself right now!  I read 35 books in 2009 and so far, I’ve reviewed 28 of those.  Click on the links to go straight to the reviews.

Unfortunately, I neglected to review all of the non-fiction books I read which is going to be a bit dry!!  I will probably review them over at A Passion to Understand and then do one post linking over to them.

Having achieved this, I almost feel confident aiming for 50 books this year!

  2. Nice work, some great picks in there too. I read the Trial years ago and it still haunts me. I read very quickly, but these days I can't get myself to sit still and read unless I'm flying somewhere.

  4. I've read about 5 of these and a few others by the same authors. I'm off to find out what you made of them :-)

35 is impressive. I've just had a quick count up and I read about 15 last year.

  5. @ Vanessa: Hiya! Yes, t was just making me miserable! The characters had just arrived in France and I realised I'd rather be bored during my train ride home than carry on reading it!! My friend warned me you either love it or you hate it when she gave it to me!

@ Brent: Ha! I spent 90 minutes on trains a day so I get lots of reading done. I love trains and I love my "me" time.

@ Lagawan: I'm thinking of reading a Khaled Hosseini next!

@ John: Cool - we seem to have a very similar taste in books!
